Wash the figs and cut the stem flush with the fruit. Slit the figs crosswise, two-thirds of the way up, then pull the quarters apart to open the fig.
Preheat your oven to 210°C mark 7. In a bowl, mix the butter, honey and PASTIS DE L'ILE DE RE until smooth.
Butter an ovenproof dish or 4 small dishes to make individual portions. Place the figs in the dish and pour the honey and PASTIS DE L'ILE DE RE sauce into the centre of the figs.
Place in the oven for 5 minutes. Halfway through cooking, sprinkle the figs with the Coo-king juice so that they caramelise slightly.
Serve straight from the oven with a scoop of PASTIS DE L'ILE DE RE ice cream ;)
