Plougastel strawberries with whipped cream and PASTIS DE L’ILE DE RE

  • 500 g Plougastel strawberries, fresh from the market
  • 20 cl organic full cream (30%)
  • 1 teaspoon organic cane sugar (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons PASTIS DE L'ILE DE RE


  • Step 01
    The day before, chill the liquid cream in the fridge.
  • Step 02
    The next day, rinse the fresh strawberries. Remove the stalks. Place in a dish. Keep them at room temperature to enjoy their sweetness when you're ready to eat them.
  • Step 03
    Pour the crème fraîche straight from the fridge into a large bowl and add the PASTIS DE L'ILE DE RE.
  • Step 04
    Whip the cream with a whisk or electric mixer until you obtain a stiff whipped cream. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Step 05
    Add the sugar for those who like it very sweet. The aniseed flavour of PAS-TIS DE L'ILE DE RE and the quality of the seasonal strawberries are all you need to enjoy this sugar-free dessert. For those who wish to (re)add sugar, it is possible to offer it on the table.

    Arrange the strawberries in individual bowls with a large tablespoon of whipped cream on top.
